Annual Report 2012

The year 2012 saw Tampere University of Technology ending its third successful year as a foundation-based university.

The foundation model has brought about a higher degree of autonomy and provided an excellent basis for developing the quality of education and research. An impressive number of reforms and development projects were carried out in 2012. Just to mention a few, the University underwent both a structural reform and a degree reform, the recommendations contained in the final report of the international Research Assessment Exercise were implemented, and the University’s strategy was updated and sharpened. All the changes that have taken place will ensure that the University can look forward to a bright future.
