You are warmly welcomed to listen to our lecture about Dragon Skin Pavilion's journey to Hong Kong

The Dragon Skin Pavilion was created in a workshop held by EDGE Laboratory for Architectural and Urban Research of Tampere University of Technology and LEAD in the autumn of 2011.

Keskisarja and Tynkkynen, together with LEAD and an international team of structural and material engineers, developed a second version of the pavilion for an exhibition in Hong Kong.

Consisting of 163 unique post-formable pieces of plywood, the pavilion innovates parametric design and digital fabrication. It was manufactured in Finland at Tampere University of Technology and transported to Hong Kong by air freight. The team then assembled the pavilion on the exhibition site situated in Kowloon Park.

Hong Kong & Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture is a double biennale showcased both in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The exhibitors in the biennale included among others OMA, Steven Holl Architects, MVRDV, sekä Reiser & Umemoto Architects.
