About Desite project

Recent trends like networking in manufacturing, growing supplier content and market-specific presence will result in for example new manufacturing environments, variety in offering, new requirements and changing cost structures. The fit between product design and production environment will break when the production environment will change. This research studies the possibilities and consequences if the product is re-designed in order to fulfil requirements of the manufacturing environment in new location. The research aims to provide models, which makes possible to evaluate changes in products and production environments and their effect on each other and on the resulting total system.
