The objective of AC-Desk project is to ensure the leading position of Finnish production system suppliers in global breakthrough of desktop production systems. The project concentrates on the development of desktop manufacturing and assembly systems and their sub-systems as well as the key enabling technologies in order to bring new cost effective and ecological desktop size applications into the global production system market.

In addition to traditional assembly industry, e.g. electronics, the focus will be on manufacturing and assembly solutions for biomedical products such as implants and diagnostic and laboratory devices.
