Production Engineering
The Department of Production Engineering concentrates on education and research in the field of discrete production. Our mission is to produce sustainable and competitive innovations for the manufacturing industry now and in the future.
The Department employs about 90 people, of whom 60 are research personnel. We conduct research in the following areas:
- Production Systems and Networks
- Manufacturing Technologies and Processes
- Integrated Product and Production Development
- Factory Automation Systems and Technologies
Most of our research projects involve cooperation with companies. More information about our projects can be found in the Research section. In addition to the above mentioned research areas we also offer expert services, for example in measuring and calibration, laser applications and machining.
We have a certified quality system (ISO 9001) in use, which helps us maintain the quality of teaching at a high level.
