Ubicom - Embedded ICT Programme - comes to FAST-Lab.

The high-level steering board of the Finnish Ubicom - Embedded ICT Programme (2007-2013) will assemble at FAST-Lab. for its next meeting. Industry leaders and technology specialists will gather at FAST-Lab. to set out the priorities for Ubicom in its final year.

The Ubicom Programme is coordinated by Jari Ikonen of Hermia Ltd. and managed by Kimmo Ahola of Tekes.

One of the key roles of the Ubicom Programme has been to actively develop Finland's participation in the European ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking for Advanced Research and Technology for Embedded Intelligence and Systems.

FAST-Lab. is of particular interest to the Ubicom Progamme because of its high level of participation and continued successes in ARTEMIS. Currently, FAST-Lab. is Project Coordinator of E-SCOP, the number 1 ranked project from the ARTEMIS 2012 Call, key project partner in the Smart City Pilot of the ARROWHEAD project from Call 2012 and partner in ASTUTE from Call 2010.

FAST-Lab's first involvement in ARTEMIS was as main research partner and Technical Coordinator in the Call 2009 eSONIA project, which ended in February 2013.
