About us

Our premises are mainly in Konetalo. On the 3rd floor you will find our offices, archives and most of the researchers and teaching staff as well as the most important classrooms. Also our cleanroom and the micro and desktop laboratories are on the 3rd floor, but all other laboratories are situated on the 1st floor.

The heavy laboratory includes a machine tooling area, laser application laboratory (LAL), machining centre with automated pallet storage and the calibration and measuring laboratory. The Laser laboratories also include a separate laser workshop in the west end of the building, where even small scale serial production is possible. In the basement you will find a special project room for students working on assignments.

Our department also has some premises in Rakennustalo, where the FAST Laboratory unit (Factory Automation Systems and Technologies Laboratory) is located.
