Studying at TUT, Pori

Tampere University of Technology  (TUT) in Pori offers high-quality education in degree programmes leading to a Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc.) as well as in advanced postgraduate degrees, continuing education and open university education.

Those admitted to the Master of Science Programmes must have the basic engineering (B.Sc.) degree. Courses comprise lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises. Teaching methods vary depending on the subject and the teacher.  To obtain a degree, students complete compulsory courses, supplementary courses, as well as major, minor and optional studies.

The academic year at TUT starts in the middle of August and ends in late May. The academic year is divided into two semesters, each of which are divided in two teaching periods. There are two breaks during the academic year, the Christmas break and the Easter break.
