The 17th European Molecular Beam Epitaxy Workshop, Euro-MBE, took place on March 10-13, 2013, in Levi – a beautiful skiing resort in Finnish Lapland. The conference was organized by the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) of Tampere University of Technology (TUT).
The Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the Tampere University of Technology is "extremely well-organised and its research quality is outstandingly high", says the Physics Research in Finland evaluation report published by the Academy of Finland.
ORC has published the conference website and the Call for Papers dedicated to the 17th European Molecular Beam Epitaxy Workshop, which will take place on 10-13th of March 2013, in Levi.
Postgraduate student Turkka Salminen from the Optoelectronics Research Centre of TUT was awarded the best poster prize at the ANGEL 2012 conference.
Professor of Physics Mika Valden from the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) of Tampere University of Technology (TUT) has received the Väisälä Award from the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters.
