Research
The faculty of the department and Intelligent Information Systems Laboratory (IISLab) conducts research in mathematics and its applications at an internationally competitive level.
The main fields of research and the most important research groups in these fields are:
- mathematical analysis with applications: Clifford analysis, mathematical systems theory, inverse problems
- discrete mathematics: algorithms and computability, algebra, logic
- mathematical modelling: positioning algorithms, computational finance, biostatistics, kite power energy
- technology enhanced learning and information modelling: intelligent information systems, mathematics education
The faculty of the department produce each year lots of publications.
