IISLab

Intelligent Information Systems Laboratory conducts research at an internationally competitive level. The main fields of research are technology enhanced learning systems and knowledge modelling.

The multidisciplinary research group of IISLab includes experts of hypermedia, usability, mathematics, pedagogy, computer science and social sciences. The director of IISLab is Professor Seppo Pohjolainen.

The research themes in the laboratory include:

• data analysis and mathematical modelling
• e-services and tools
• knowledge modelling, efficient management, and visualisation
• simulator research
• social network analysis
• web based learning
