Construction management and economics

The main research areas of the Building production and economics unit are the operational processes and business operations of construction companies, the construction products industry, and construction management firms as well as the life-cycle, energy and environmental economy of real estate. An evolving research field of the unit is the property business and associated facility and user services as well as the 'living business'.

The unit is responsible for building production and economics education at TUT. It has 2 professors and 15–20 teaching and research staff. The unit also has 9 senior lecturers actively involved in the its work. The unit's broad international co-operation networks comprises construction sector companies, public corporations, research units and individual researchers.
