Studies
The Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering carries out teaching and research activities in the fields of Chemistry, Bioengineering, Environmental Engineering and Power Plant and Combustion Technology.
The Department has three Professors of Chemistry (Chemistry, Bio-organic/Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry), two of Biotechnology (Environmental Biotechnology, Molecular Microbiology), one of Chemi-mechanical Environmental Engineering and two Professors of Power Plant and Environmental Technology.
Due to the large number of finnish students most of our education is given in Finnish. In some courses study material, guidance and exams are available also in English.
List of courses taught in English: Chemistry and Bioengineering, Energy and Process Engineering
Degree programmes taught in Finnish
- Biotechnology (Biotekniikan koulutusohjelma)
- Science and Engineering (Teknis-luonnontieteellinen koulutusohjelma)
- Science and Engineering, teacher education (Matemaattisten aineiden DI-opettajankoulutus)
- Environmental Engineering and Energy Technology (Ympäristö- ja energiatekniikan koulutusohjelma)
The International Master’s Degree Programme in Science and Bioengineering at Tampere University of Technology offers qualified students an international study environment to learn nanotechnology and modern biotechnologies in English in a two-year degree programme.
