Research Equipment
The research laboratory instrumentation is built up to perform specially advanced time-resolved spectroscopic investigations. These include both absorption and emission spectroscopies covering a wide time range. One can start with steady state measurements and continue with time resolved studies in second, millisecond, microsecond, nanosecond, picosecond and, finally, in femtosecond time domains. Another branch of the laboratory instrumentation is aimed on design and investigation of organized molecular systems, particularly highly ordered monolayers of functional molecules. Principal research instruments are:
Time-resolved instruments:
- Ultrafast femto- picosecond absorption and emission spectroscopy system (pump-probe and up-conversion metods)
- Pico- nanosecond emission spectrocopy instrument (time correlated single photon counting method)
- Flash-photolysis system for time resolved absorption spectroscopy with a 10 ns - 10 s time domain. Nd-YAG- (with OPO or Ti-sapphire) laser excitation
- Maxwell displacement charge measurement system: system for time-resolved photo-electric measurements of vectorial electron transfer in thin films with a 10 ns - 10 s time domain
- MicroTime 200 Fluorescence Lifetime Microscope with spatial resolution down to 0.3 µm, maximum scan field 80×80 µm
