Introduction

This special issue for International Journal of Advanced Media and Communication (IJAMC) is one of the outcomes of the Academic Mindtrek Conference 2011. The aim of this issue is to reflect upon, examine and review the use of contemporary media technologies in various contexts. The special issue will include contributions from all the three tracks of the conference: social media, ambient and ubiquitous media, and digital games, and papers that contribute to business or related issues. The contributors are challenged to evaluate and explicate the increasingly divers practices the new technologies spawn and the environments that for their part define the media use, especially focusing on media business, media management, media communication, and media process level. More information about the journal can be found on: http://www.inderscience.com/browse/index.php?journalCODE=ijamc

  • please make sure that you use the submission category “MindTrek 2011 Submission for IJAMC” / MT 2011 IJAMC
  • be aware that the final decision if your manuscript gets published or not will be based on the review of your article! From the potential 10 paper candidates, a maximum of 6 papers (exceptionally 7) will be published in the final journal
