Why did you choose TUT and this programme?
After my Bachelor degree, I was searching for a university to continue my study, I applied in many countries and I have been accepted in three universities in different countries Europe, in the field of Mechatronics, and Tampere University of Technology was one of them. I read a lot about these universities and I was really confused. Then, two of my professors, in my university; Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, recommended me to select Finland and TUT in specific because of the high level of education that I can get from there. I also knew one of the students, who enrolled to this university in the same programme, and he gave me the motivation when we were talking about the courses of this programme and the social life in Tampere.
What is the best part of your studies?
The best part in my study in Machine Automation Programme is that we have to do a lot of practical work more than the theoretical one, the thing that gives us a good understanding of the subjects we are studying. These experiments we are doing are quite interesting especially those experiments which are dealing with programming robots that also helped us in getting a good knowledge about many manufacturing processes in the industry.
Why would you recommend TUT to prospective students?
The level of education in the university is really high, and this university is one of the best universities in Finland. The education in Finland, in general, is free and the living in Tampere City is not costly, which can be handled by all the students from all over the world.
In my case, when I was looking for my master thesis, I got confused which topic I have to select from many amazing and interesting projects which I was always dreaming to be enrolled in one of them. Therefore, finding a project as a thesis or improving your knowledge will not be difficult and you may get payment in most of the cases.
The high level of education is not the only good thing you will get from TUT, but also you will have a lot of fun with the Finnish and the international students in so many events organized by the university groups during the whole year.
How has living in Finland been for you?
As known, Finland is always ranked as one of the top 10 best counties in the world to live in. I sensed that from high level of Health Care Services, Education, and the Social Life. When you live in Finland, even for a short time, you will notice the kindness of the Finnish people and we always say here "The Finnish Nation is the most peaceful nation in the world!!". One of the most important things that I would like to mention is that, this university accepts very huge number of international students every year. During my stay here in Finland I have gained a lot of friends from all over the world and we made very good friendships with each others. It was important for me to know the culture of most of the countries in the world. It might be a little bit cold for me here in winter, since that was my first snow experience, and I used to live in very hot countries. However, having fun with these amazing friends, helps a lot in warming me up. Personally speaking, my best season now is winter.
Your own message to prospective students:
I would like to say that most of the exchange students, who come to this university only for one semester or one year of study, they like it here and they apply for their master thesis in TUT again. The same thing happens with the degree students when they decide to stay in TUT for PhD or in Finland in general for work. I am very satisfied and happy to be a student in this university and I am sure this will be the feeling of every student in TUT.
