Why did you choose TUT and this programme?
The year before I enrolled as an international degree, I was an exchange student taking courses from the signal processing curriculum. Because I like the student culture at TUT and the wide variety of selectable courses, I decided to apply for the degree programme in IT. I got the recommendation to study at TUT from my professor at my home university.

What is the best part of your studies?
I like to learn by trying out things. The course arrangements at TUT allow to have both theoretical and practical elements in the courses. To get even more practical experience, especially in project, several project courses are offered to the students.

Why would you recommend TUT to prospective students?
First of all, I recommend TUT, because it is situated in Finland. In Finland, business is done straightforward and people are very friendly. Secondly, TUT is very internationally-orientated and offers a high-class educational level as well as a perspective for post-graduate studies. Lastly, TUT offers a wide range of free-time and recreational activities for its students and staff.

How has living in Finland been for you?
Living in Finland has been always very easy and flawless. Tutors helped my during the first days in Tampere to get the necessary bureaucratic work done and introduced me into the Finnish and international student culture.

Your own message to prospective students:
Finland and especially Tampere are perfect places to experience something different in the positive sense. However, students are required to use their common sense to live and study in Finland. Furthermore, to experience the Finnish student culture, student should take their own initiative to get to know other people. This comes from the fact, that Finns are a bit shy, when they meet students from abroad.
