Admission and requirements
Admission process
The application process is highly competitive. Admission decisions are made by the Admission Committee based on the candidates' demonstratrated academic qualifications and merits. A limited number of the most highly qualified students may be accepted to the programme, but there is no fixed quota for the annual intake of international students at Tampere University of Technology.
The applicant will be informed by email when the application documents have reached TUT. After the deadline, the Admission Committee will evaluate the applications, verify the specific requirements and nominate applicants for admission. The names of the accepted students will be posted on this website (if they have authorized the publication of their names) and the accepted students will also be contacted personally. The official letters of acceptance will be posted in early May.
TUT uses a three-stage admission process in which students are selected based on their application documents. The process is fair and equal to all applicants. No entrance examinations are arranged for the programme.
It is not possible to be placed on a waiting list, because accepted students who give up their study place will not be replaced by other candidates.
