Requirements

Educational qualifications

The applicant must have a three- to four-year bachelor's degree:

  • in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology,physics, or biomechanics for the following majors: Medical Informatics, Medical Instrumentation and Medical Physics, or
  • in biomaterial science, material science, tissue engineering or polymer chemistry for the Biomaterials major

A BSc degree from a Finnish polytechnic or university of applied sciences does not qualify the person for admission to this programme.

Language skills

The official language of the programme is English, so a good command of the English language is an absolute prerequisite.

One of the following language tests is required:

  • TOEFL (score 550/213/79 or higher)
  • IELTS (score 6.0 or higher)
  • Cambridge Language Certificate (Proficiency CPE or Advanced CAE) (grade "C" or higher)
  • PTE 53
