Master's degree programmes at TUT
TUT offers well established master's degree programmes. Some of them have been running since the 1980's. Every year about 150 international degree-seeking students start their studies in the eight master's degree programmes. Around 400 exchange students pursue studies at TUT each year. TUT has made persistent efforts to promote internationlaization and has become Finland's most international university of technology in terms of student and researcher mobility. The excellent employment rate among TUT's graduates demonstrates that the degrees conferred by the University are valued in working life.
The total extent of the master's degree programmes is 120 ECTS credits and it takes about two years to finish the programme. Courses constitute 90 ECTS credits (three semesters) and the master's thesis 30 ECTS credits (one semester). Students who complete the programme earn the degree of Master of Science in Technology or Architecture. After graduation the students are eligible to apply for postgraduate study.
